I held an exhibition of hats and knitted shirts at Gallery Gallery.
I made the hats for myself so they're a little small in size, but I was so pleased that people who came to the exhibition all tried on the hats which were hanging from the ceiling. All the staff at Moriyasu Hat Factory came to my exhibition from Nagoya and all laughed a lot. The owner of Kyoto's Art Space Kan , Ms. Yasuda, is always elegant. She tried to put on a folding hat, as did Alice. Alice is always very helpful when I have an exhibition in another country. She tried on a deep green triangular hat which looked good with her red scarf. Akiko Yamazaki put on a grey beaver hat with a silver knitted brim, which co-ordinated well with her white coat. She is a writer, and a Professor at Nara Women's University who wrote Contemporary Japanese Craftwork and Gender. I was interested in the title and found her perspective interesting too. I also took some photos of a mysterious guy has been to coming to my exhibitions in various places.
Kazuyo Nakagawa, my friend from high school days, visited with her husband. He's a visiting Professor at Ritsumeikan University. He requested the photo I took of him for his New Year's Greeting mailout. It's not a problem but he'll need to explain it to his friends (!)
Today I had photographs taken for the advertising for Gallery WA2 in Minami Aoyama. Staff from Monochrome Circus came to the Gallery to have their photos taken by Takeshi Hatakeyama. They jumped around until he could get the best shot. The final shot was the best one. Mr. Hatakeyama is so great. In the evening a lot of my friends got together there and we took for a memorial photograph.
